See lions and elephants up close in Kenya 2017!

We are currently in the planning stages of ETA’s 2017 safari tour of Kenya. The finer details (such as exact departure and return dates) are to be confirmed, but to whet your appetite, you can see the provisional itinerary below.

We will be leaving London Heathrow at 8pm via Kenyan Airlines, and arriving in Nairobi early morning next day.

DAY 01 – NAIROBI – SAMBURU

We will be met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by a our local Safari guide & representative, briefed, and then depart for Samburu National Reserve.

The drive takes us through the scenic pineapple countryside of Thika through the Equator. We will proceed to arrive in time for a sumptuous lunch at Samburu sopa lodge. Have a good rest and freshen up.

Do a game drive in the late afternoon.

Dinner and overnight at Samburu sopa Lodge in the middle of Samburu bush, where we can see wild animals at the waterhole in front of the restaurant & bar and outside your own private lodge.

DAY 02SAMBURU

Full day game drives with all meals at the lodge. We will also meet the local Samburu tribe and visit one of their villages.

Dinner and overnight at Samburu sopa lodge.

DAY 03 SAMBURU – ABERDARES

Early morning game drive, breakfast at the lodge and then proceed to Aberdares National park. Arrive in time for lunch at treetops tree house lodge. Afternoon will be at leisure watching the animals at the waterhole below and relaxing and later proceed for a game drive.

 DAY 04ABERDARES –Lake Nakuru

Have an early morning game drive then proceed for Breakfast. Next we drive to Lake Nakuru.

After noon and next morning game drives to Lake Nakuru National park,the park is home to both rare black Rhinos and White Rhinos and the park also has plenty of Leopards.

DAY 05NAKURU -MASAI MARA

After a leisurely breakfast at Nakuru Sopa Lodge, depart overland to the Masai Mara Game Reserve-jewel of Kenya’s Game Park. The Masai Mara is Kenya’s finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well spread rainfall year round. The sensation of the great wildebeest migration is unparalleled. The wildlife is far from being confined within the Reserve boundaries and an even larger area extends beyond the game Reserve.

Centuries of close association with the wildlife has resulted in an almost symbiotic relationship where wildlife and Masai people live in peace with one another. After lunch at Mara sopa lodge, explore the Reserve on a late evening ‘Spice’ game drive. No matter how much you have thought about Africa, this is more than you expected—the big five-Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino and Cape buffalo are in abundance.

DAY 06MASAI MARA

Full day exploring the world famous Masai Mara with game drives and all meals at the lodge.

DAY 07MASAI MARA- NAIROBI

Early morning game drive, Return to the lodge for a mouth watering buffet breakfast and later drive to Nairobi. Enjoy Lunch at rangers restaurant In Nairobi then transfer to your hotel for relaxation as you enjoy the hotel facilities. Dinner and overnight at Boulevard Hotel.

DAY 08NAIROBI Excursion & DEPARTURE

Full day Excursion and city tour of Nairobi “the city in the sun” with a visit to David Sheldrick, Giraffe centre, Karen Blixen, Kazuri Beads centre and Lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant.

Later, we will be transferred to the airport for our departure flight.

Departing Nairobi late at night (00.30hrs) and returning to London Heathrow morning of Day 9.
